    Who we are

    Comments:

    When you leave a comment, we collect the information you enter and your IP address and browser details to prevent spam. 

    Your email may be converted into a code (hash) and sent to the Gravatar service to check if you use it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will appear next to your comment if linked to Gravatar. 

    Media:

    Do not upload images with location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download these images and extract the location information. 

    Cookies 

    Comments: You can save your name, email, and website in cookies for future convenience. These last for one year.

    Login: When you enter, cookies remember your login for two days, screen for one year. You will be logged on for two weeks if you choose the “Remember Me” cookie. In addition, if you “log out,” it kills these cookies.  \

    Publishing: If you edit or try to publish an article, it creates a temporary cookie that is deleted after a little over a day.

    Articles may include content such as videos or images from other websites. These act like you visited an external site, which can collect data or track your interaction.  

    Data Sharing

    If you reset your password, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

    Data Retention

    Comments: Kept forever for easy approval of future comments.

    Registered Users: Your profile information is saved and can be viewed, edited, or deleted anytime (except usernames).

    • A copy of the data we have about you.  
    • Deletion of your data (except for legal or security purposes).  

    Data Usage  

    Comments may be checked using automated spam detection tools.
